Castleford Tigers Wi-Fi Installation • Amico IT Services

After the successful implementation of the corporate & wireless network at Featherstone Rovers, we successfully landed a partnership with local superleague club Castleford Tigers to rollout a new wireless network for the upcoming 2018 season.

Here’s what they had to say:

Amico IT services came on board with the Tigers during the off season when the club installed a new scanning ticket card entry system at the Mend-A-Hose Jungle. The system relies heavily on high speed WiFi and the club knew Amico IT were the right people for the job.

Chris Powell, Castleford Tigers commercial manager, said: “Over the last six months we’ve worked very closely with Aaron and his team at Amico IT. The service we receive from Aaron is outstanding. He’s really gone above and beyond in the installation of the wireless network for our new ticket scanning system as well as working with us on the opening of the Castleford Tigers Sports Superstore at Xscape.”

Amico IT Services are a Yorkshire based IT Managed Services company. They provide Business IT Support to small & medium sized companies throughout Yorkshire and cover all services from Wireless Networking to Server Installations & Office365.

Amico IT Services were tasked with providing a high-speed wireless network around Castleford Tigers Stadium to facilitate the move from normal ticket collection at the turnstiles to barcode scanning using handheld scanning devices using Quick Response Code applications. Amico IT Services have also provided a fibre internet connection at the new Castleford Tigers Superstore at the Xscape Castleford alongside internal network and wireless network for scanning and payment functionality at the store.

Speaking today Amico IT Services Managing Director Aaron Thirling said: “We are really enjoying our new partnership with Castleford Tigers.  We are providing the Tigers with ongoing network support at the stadium and the new Xscape store and we are looking forward to building on the work already done.”
